quick beach getwawy

Matt and I got to get away for a little bit a few weeks ago. Matt's parents (and my nieces) watched Ruthie in Helen and we headed over to Charleston, Isle of Palms. It was a little chilly (I've never been to the beach in pants before!) but was so relaxing. We also got to hang out with our friends Aubrey and Rachel who just moved there. We slept a lot which was much needed!

my first art festival

Last weekend I attended my first art festival as a vendor! The Cherokee Heights Art Festival is a cute little festival held every November in my neighborhood. I've been a few years as a shopper, but it was my first time selling. Because my shop is only online, it was nice to see people's reaction to my prints in person. And I sold a lot more than I thought I would! It was a great experience. Here are some photos of the festival:

big announcement!

Matt, Ruthie, and I have a big announcement....I'm pregnant!

Ruthie will be a big sister in May! I'm 13 weeks along, and hopefully at the end of throwing up, nausea, bloating, fatigue, and overall bleh feeling. With Ruthie I was sick from 6 - 16 weeks, but this feels worse because of having to take care of a 1 year old!

We told my family when my sister was in town since we were all together. We told Matt's family last weekend when we were up there. Everyone was really excited!

My preference was for my kids to be two grades apart, like my family was. They will be 27 months apart. We are really happy to be expanding our family! :-)

21 months

My sweet RuRu is 21 months! She is still very active and doesn't let us rest much! She is going to Mother's Morning Out two days a week, which helps me focus on work, and is great for her socialization. She is learning that Maebe is her friend, and now loves to pet her. She enjoys playing outside and our daily walks. It seems like she is learning a new word every day, her most recent one being "bubbles" that she says a lot in the bath! She doesn't eat a lot these days, but seems ok with that. Ru naps two hours a day and sleeps through the night from about 8 to 7. She is very opinionated and is working on asking for help when she is frustrated. We love her so!
