Better late than never! For our 30th birthdays, my college friends Kelly and Ashley went to Northern California for five days without the kiddos to celebrate! We stayed two nights with my sister and Sanjay in San Francisco, and then drove four hours north to Westport, where Ashley's family owns a home on the coast.
In SF we hung out at Dolores Park, which is right near my sister's condo. We also did a day trip to Sausalito, and took the ferry back. That is where the windy picture was taken! On the way to Westport, we stopped at a few wineries which was so relaxing. The drive was so pretty, each curve was a gorgeous view (besides Kelly throwing up once :-).
The sweet town of Westport is home to only 50 residents. It. is. tiny. One day we drove 40 minutes into Mendocino, which is a really cute town on the water. Another day Kelly and Ashley went to the Sea Glass Beach which they said was neat, but I actually stayed at the house and read outside! I also napped. It was marvelous. Every night we would drink wine in the hot tub while watching the sunset.
It was sad to leave, but I was missing Ruthie. Matt was a trooper by watching her! Here are the photos of the trip!
