39 week update!

How Far Along: 39 weeks!

Gender: Waiting to find out.

Baby Size: Mini watermelon.

Total Weight Gain: 33 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes!

Sleep: Hardly at all!

Miss Anything: Getting up with ease. Walking without having to pee.

Cravings: Cold water and desserts.

Symptoms: A couple Braxton Hicks last Sunday, soreness, and some nerve pains in my groin. 

Belly Button/Body Changes: I don't feel like my stomach can stretch anymore! Belly button popped out a little bit. I took me ring off too, because my hands (and feet) are a tiny bit swollen.

Mood: Feeling more and more ready to meet this baby!

Exercise: Took Maebe on a mini walk. Poor thing.

Looking Forward to: Matt doing finishing touches to the nursery this weekend!

How Far Along: 38 weeks.

Gender: Waiting to find out.

Baby Size: Leek.

Total Weight Gain: 30 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes!

Sleep: Feeling itchy, getting up 3-4 times a night to pee.

Miss Anything: Same as last week - not having to pee every 30 minutes. Being able to walk without the urge to pee.

Cravings: Freezing cold water - I'm like a camel these days!

Symptoms: Peeing! :-) Some nerve pains in my groin.

Belly Button/Body Changes: I don't feel like my stomach can stretch anymore! Belly button still not popped out or flat yet. 

Mood: Feeling good about getting the nursery organized.

Exercise: None. Poor Maebe, but it's so cold!!

Looking Forward to: Finishing the nursery this weekend!

double shower weekend!

Last weekend I had both of my baby showers; one with more of my mom's friends and one with my friends. They were both so fun and so good to see everyone to celebrate Baby A! The decorations and food were awesome. I can't believe how much energy was put into them! I have the best friends. Here are some photos of the weekend:

Gender: Waiting to find out.

Baby Size: Winter melon.

Total Weight Gain: 32 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Pretty much all maternity clothes!

Sleep: Getting up 3-4 times a night to pee.

Miss Anything: Not having to pee every 30 minutes. Being able to walk without the urge to pee.

Cravings: Ice cold water and sweets!

Symptoms: Some heartburn, but not too bad. Stomach just very tight.

Belly Button/Body Changes: I don't feel like my stomach can stretch anymore! Belly button still not popped out or flat yet. 

Mood: Feeling so grateful for my friends who came to my showers this weekend!

Exercise: Walked Maebe twice this week.

Looking Forward to: Organizing the new baby stuff in the nursery this weekend! :-)

36 week update

How Far Along: 36 weeks - less than a month!

Gender: Waiting to find out .

Baby Size: Large romaine lettuce.

Total Weight Gain: 31 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Pretty much all maternity clothes, minus a few long T-shirts.

Sleep: Felt really itchy last night. Getting up to pee more.

Miss Anything: Not having to pee every 30 minutes. Being able to walk without the urge to pee.

Cravings: Ice cold water and sugar.

Symptoms: Some heartburn, but not too bad. Itchiness.

Belly Button/Body Changes: Belly button still not popped out or flat yet. 

Mood: Getting more nervous and more excited at the same time.

Exercise: It's been so cold! So no.

Looking Forward to: My baby showers this weekend!

shirts to cover up my butt

There is an ongoing debate about whether or not women should wear yoga pants in public. I freaking love yoga pants and I'm not ready to give them up, but I am trying to be more modest with how I wear them. So I'm trying to find shirts that are long enough to cover my bum for when I wear them outside of the house. I have a really long torso, causing this to be a challenge. 2016 new year's resolutions


1. Enjoy my new baby. Priority #1!
2. Get in better financial shape. Get better about sticking to a budget! Get more involved with our money in general, start investing.
3. Figure out job stuff. Find something I like that will help our family our financially; whether it's full time or part time or freelance.
4. Decide if we are going to move or not.
5. Get in better workout routine. Walk Maebe more, take barre classes, run one 5K and one 10K.
6. Get on a better food schedule. Cook more, eat out less, eat better.
7. Volunteer in the community. I would like to start reading to people at nursing/disability homes.
8. Do a better job of cleaning my house. 
9. Read more than I watch TV.
10. Learn to fight more fair with Matt.
