35 week update

If you missed my 34 week update, find it here.

How Far Along: 35 weeks!

Gender: Waiting to find out

Baby Size: Coconut

Total Weight Gain: 28 pounds

Maternity Clothes: Pretty much all maternity clothes, minus a few long T-shirts

Sleep: Had a cold so the sleep was worse this week

Miss Anything: Sleep (not that it was that great before)

Cravings: Ice cold water

Symptoms: Bladder control issues. :-(

Belly Button/Body Changes: Belly button still not popped out or flat yet.

Mood: I'm at the tail end of my cold, so happy about that. It rained all day yesterday and I was at home, so I went a little stir-crazy. There's only so much TV I can watch!

Exercise: Walked Maebe 5 miles this week so far!

Looking Forward to: Matt getting home from duck hunting tomorrow, and my second favorite holiday too! I love NYE!

2015 new year's resolution: recap

1. Get in better all around shape. Kind of a weird year, since I got pregnant in May, and felt sick for 16 weeks. I started barre classes, but when I threw up in middle of class, I figured I should postpone it until post-baby!

2. Get in a better "food" routine. This didn't really change that much. Again, I blame it on being pregnant. Nothing I could cook was anything I wanted to eat. :-(

3. Travel with Matt. Success! We didn't do the North-Pacific trip, but we had an awesome babymooniversary, I went to LA, we went to the beach with our friends, and we went to my grandmother's lake house for Labor Day. We also went on a cruise in February.

4. Get more involved in my community. Didn't really do much this year (but have plans for next year!)

5. Run two 10Ks and one 5K. I ran one 5k before getting pregnant. I was sick before I was showing, and then running became difficult after I was showing.

6. Navigate the struggle with family boundaries. Success! I think I did a lot better this year.

7. Be a better wife. Hopefully I did better this year?!

8. Learn to listen to what God is telling me. Still a struggle for me.

9. Finish The Message in chronological order. Success!

10. Stop talking bad about my appearance. I am getting better, and especially with the realization I might have a daughter soon, it's a big priority to me.

11. Create a brand and website for my freelance graphic design company. Didn't do this one. I started a Tumblr site, but I don't know if graphic design is really my thing. I don't want to spend the time on a website until I'm sure it is.

12. Keep pushing towards minimalism. Success!

13. Learn to say no to things without coming up with a fake excuse. I think I did better at this this year.

14. Watch less TV. Given all I wanted to do after work for four months when I was sick was watch TV, this one was definitely a failure.

15. Figure out Anderson baby timing! :-) Success! Baby Anderson due Jan. 31!

16. Figure out why I'm not sleeping well. A sleep study is still too expensive for us (our insurance doesn't cover it), but I am falling asleep faster by turning off screens earlier, taking a shower to decompress, and reading in bed for about 30 minutes before lights off.

our 2015 christmas card

my first christmas in heaven

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below with tiny lights, like Heaven's Stars, reflecting on the snow. The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear, but the sound of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here. I have no words to tell you the joy their voices bring for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me. I see the pain inside your heart, but I am not so far away and we really are not apart. So be happy for me, dear one, you know I hold you dear and be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

Please love me and keep each other as my Father said to do, For 1 can't count the blessings or love he has for each of you. So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away the tear. Remember, I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

bridesmaid about to pop

Last weekend the friend I have known the longest (since we were 5!) got married. The wedding was in Marietta, and it was beautiful! She did such a great job with the all the little details to make the ceremony and reception so pretty. I felt rather large in my bridesmaid's dress, but had a great time overall! Another bridesmaid and friend I have known since elementary school was pregnant too, so that was fun. Here are some photos of the weekend:

My mom and I went to visit my sister Colleen out west this past weekend. She had a Nutrition conference in Long Beach and had two nights at the Hilton there, covered by Google (where she works). I got a great deal on a rental car too! My friend from home Anna met us out there for brunch. For such a short trip, we actually saw a lot. Here are some photos of the weekend:

a dog filmed their owner's wedding and it's awesome

A couple in TN let their dog film their casual, snowy mountain wedding with a GoPro camera attached to its back. This such a unique idea, and perfect idea for people who weren't going to have an official wedding video, but wanted something fun and laid back instead! Here is the video:
