how i pray for others

There is something that I feel all Christians, including myself, are guilty of. It's saying we will pray for someone and then not doing it. Or only doing it once for about five seconds. My husband and I tend to disagree on this subject. He says one time praying is enough, because God knows what you want in your heart. While I agree with the latter, when it comes to praying on someone's behalf, I feel more powerful in my prayers if I am continually praying for them over time.

Because life is so busy, it's hard to pray for everyone you have promised to pray for when you are in your quiet time (and adding in the time of just sitting listening to God's words, and the time to read his Word). This is why I decided to make it simple: I will pray for a different person or topic every day. I keep up with it on my phone, under the notes app. That's my type A coming out folks!

This way it's not so overwhelming and I can focus on praying throughout the day. It can just be nice thoughts sent out to God, a few seconds at a time.

What about you? How do you do prayer time? Let me know! I'm always up for new ideas.

That is such a great idea, Rachel! I like the idea of focusing on one or two prayer topics per day, that way you really spend quality time praying for each one!
