1. To sacrifice something I love in order to think more about the Lord
2. To see if I had more energy without gluten
3. To be more aware of what goes into my body by thinking about what I eat
I don't feel like I have more energy, but I'm really glad I did it because I just feel healthier eating more meat, veggies and fruit. There are some really tasty gluten free recipes that I will share in an upcoming post.
Did you give up something for Lent? If so, have you kept up with it?

Hi Rachael! I commend you for giving up gluten- I've tried several times but kill me if I love pasta! My husband and I gave up TV for lent. I definitely didn't realize how much we watched until we took it out of our lives! It seems I now have more time for cooking, cleaning and (most importantly) reading. I just hope we don't go back to watching tons of TV ;-)
You have done such a great job sticking to it! Going completely gluten free is hard! But you're right, there are tons of good, tasty recipes out there. I have a whole pin board devoted to them, but I rarely make them. I need to change that!
