tay tay

I'm back from the most beautiful wedding ever! Will post pics later this week. Just bought Tay Tay's new album (no I'm not 15). Liked this song a lot:

one year, nola and ash's wedding!

Tomorrow night Matt and I are going to New Orleans for a little one year anniversary (woohoo!) celebration. Then Thursday we are headed to Lafayette, LA for Ashley and Graham's wedding! I'm so excited!

blood boiling

I'm not really the biggest Joel Osteen fan, but let the man talk! This so called "interview" makes my blood boil. Journalists should bring people on their shows to listen to their opinion and have a productive flow of conversation, not to keep interrupting him with their own agenda.

weekend update

The updated on my stomach issues is that there is no update. I have to get my blood drawn Tuesday. They did tell me that I have an unrelated heart murmur, but it's not a big deal apparently.

This weekend we are having a middle schooler from our church youth group stay with us. Matt took him up to the barn in Helen to do "guy stuff" like shoot guns and fish. So it's just been me and Maebe today hanging out and cleaning for our dinner party tomorrow. I took her to the dog park and she was attacked by another dog. I'm hoping it won't scar her or make her hate going..it was only her second day allowed at the park!

Here is a picture of her at the park yesterday. Hiding under the table. :-/
I have a big day tomorrow! Church, tennis, small group and then hosting a 10 person dinner party. Should be fun!

doctor's appointment

Right now I'm anxiously sitting in my doctor's waiting room. I have been having stomach issues (bloating, nausea that causes gagging) after I eat certain foods. No I'm not pregnant. I have noticed it happens more when I eat bread, so I'm worried they are going to say I'm gluten intolerant. This scares me because most of what I eat is carbs. Like literally Marietta Pizza Company twice a week.

I will keep you posted...fingers crossed!!

alan jackson concert

Matt and I took my dad to the Alan Jackson concert Saturday. It was my favorite show we have taken him to. He has so many hits that we almost knew every song. I definitely teared up during this song. It reminded me of when my dad taught me how to drive down in Moreland/Newnan area..which is actually where Alan Jackson is from and learned to drive too! Alan and my dad went to the same high school and he was friends with his older sisters. So we are practically best friends with him! :-)

gangnam style

DAD: I cannot believe you ate the bacon. I specifically told you not to eat the bacon. And after all that, you went home and ate the bacon. I give you shelter and love, all i ask is for you to not eat my bacon.
ME: dad im sorry!
DAD: you better be sorry! your getting me more bacon. i expect it by tomorrow morning. if its not here, there will be consequenses.
ME: its just bacon dad…
DAD: not at all. you owe me big time.I will have justice.

MOM: Hey… I have a question. Is that song out right now that they keep playing on the radio go, “open condom style. whoop, whoop, whoop condom style. Heyyy sexy lady”? You know the one that’s partially in spanish (or something). I’m very confused by it.

DAD: Call ASAP. I have a question about female reproduction.
ME: I had a nightmare last night that I didn’t get into the elementary ed program and I had to drop out and move home!
DAD: That wouldn’t be so bad – I put a new door on your bedroom last night and it looks great! Changes the look of the whole family room…

MOM: You need to hurry home after work. Daddy made supper-salmon potatoes and holy beans.
ME: What in the world are holy beans?
MOM: They are regular pinto beans, but daddy cooked the h*ll out of them.

ME: Call me if you aren’t busy?
DAD: Did you want me to call you, maybe?
